Total sales misrepresentation - possible fraud

BEWARE you are sold a 3-day trading seminar but what you get is a 'further' sales pitch / motivational talk with a modicum of trading thrown in. So you actually PAY to attend a 2nd sales pitch. The lecturer is repetitive - "give me a yes" and came out with the most rediculious comment about trading - "an investment manager attended the course and reckoned that the 3 day course was worth 5 YEARS of technical analysis" - complete bollox!!!! The trading that actually gets covered is basic Dow theory and could be covered in the 1st hour!!!! If you even have a small bit of trading experience your questions or comments will be not be appreciated. Did not attend the property seminar but can only imagine it would be the exactly the same - save your money and find more reputable trainers. & the "Rich Dad" is only a hook, nothing to do with the course

Legacy Elite Education is a waste of money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They don't provide anything that you could not get somewhere else if you do a little digging. No new information, no proprietary "method". I would highly recommend doing some intensive internet searches, look at books available on these topics, and speak to people with experience in these investments before you dive into the huge capital outlay of the training. Even worse, don't go into debt to get the training. IT IS A RIP OFF! Making people poorer with every student that signs up . . . When it comes to the financial education training modules, there is nothing there that you can't get online or at far less expensive training sources, or for free if you merely go to www.tastytrade.com Be a good manager of your resources, see what is out there before you commit to wasting that much money!

I paid $800 for basic training and real estate course, my goodness do i wish i knew what was going to happen to me next. I have literally been emailing, calling and been lied to for the past 3 months since buying the tickets and have still not been registered for the course that i paid for. The resolutions centre of this company is at a stand still because there are that many people unhappy with one thing or another. DON'T BE ANOTHER ONE OF THEM I am going to write a warning on all of their facebook ads so no one else gets scammed. They think they can get away with stealing peoples money like this, they need to think again. It's daylight robbery.

Write it off as a loss! They will string you along to upsell you on more "Education" the whole thing is and has been a scam for many years.

They change company names, get sued , move on, partner with new companies and names. The entire Rich Dad Education is one of the biggest scams! They will tell you all about how legitimate their company is.

What legitimate company has to tell you that they're not a scam??? I lost $599 and 3 days of my life(I wouldn't go to the stock seminar after going to real estate seminar, uh sales pitch) They would not return my money either.

Piece of Crap Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, HERE's WHY The information you get, although it is useful, is terribly overpriced. You can get the same information in about 3-400 worth of books. Two, they state that you can return your purchase before three business days for a full refund, however, they will only refund half and then ask you to send in the items you sent in. Even after confirming they received it, they still will not refund the remaining half of the money. This is standard practice for them. You will be forced to sue them just to get your money back that YOU GAVE THEM! Save your time and money. The three day workshops are worth it, but nothing else.

Sharks scamming for fish

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This company is the biggest scam. Luckily I didn’t lose too much money with the company.

After attending their free seminar, I paid $700 for a three day real estate investing course, which was just another sales pitch for purchasing $10,000-$40,000 worth in Legacy Education courses. The time spent over those three days was probably divided between 30% learning very basic information you can learn on your own, and 70% was a sales pitch to buy more of their courses. They used lots of scare tactics, and presented the information in such a way that you believe the only way to make money is by taking their courses. But this is very wrong.

The presenters are very skilled at selling, and present themselves as very likeable, saying “we don’t need to be doing this, we make enough money, we’re doing this out of the goodness of our hearts to give back to people who need it”, and yet they’re charging $10-$40k, to people who don’t have the money, for very little information. I get that they’re sales men and they’re going to try and get you to buy their product, but given that I already spent $700 I was expecting more information and less “pitching” during the three days. I was very wrong.

I honestly feel like I paid $700 to hear their sales pitch. Be very weary of these guys.

And on top of that, the three day course included one on one “advising” for each individuals 2 year plan. This was actually just a 15 minute, personalized sales pitch where I had to explain why I wasn’t wanting to purchase anything further.

The “advisor” then proceeded to explain why I was wrong in not purchasing more of their “educational” courses. Such a pitiful scam.

Just a review of my experience. and No, i did not buy the further courses.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

However, please if you don't intend leaving the weekend 25k short (yes, this is how much their further training costs!!) remember that - if you're new to this, start first. start somewhere, have a look.

find networking events (there are!! meetup.com, PIN etc) research and see if it's really something you'd want to do. DOn't jump in before exploring the options - althoug you'll be tempted to. - Shop around first, try other seminars with other providers, find webinars...

educate yourself - oh, i have been told there's a further upsell to the 25k trainings! - to clarify, i'm not against the fact these guys have advanced training programs that go from 10 to 35k. I don't doubt they will be valuable and get you were you want to be if YOU are willing to put the work in. I dislike the way the promote their courses as its so scammy and plays a lot on people's fears and feelings.

That's simply not fair commercial practice imo. If they were confident in their courses, they'd speak for themselves and they'd be more professional about it, as it's high ticket service they offer. - the money you'll be spending on further training could have got you a deposit for your first investment.think about it. - results are not guaranteed Alarm bells in general, as to why i think you should consider the above steps first: - If you have anything holding you back, the trainers would label you as 'negative' - The speaker talks quite fast.

I know they don't have time to cover all of the subjects in detail and it's quite a jammed packed weekend, however, if they focused less on the 'selling' and 'pushing' side of things, they could have taken the technical things a bit slower, to be fair to everyone. Not everyone can keep up with the numbers or financial explanations. - They kept pushing on emotional buttons - One of the previous students, who were then as testimonials of the success of the program, brought in their kid. why the *** would you do that??they stayed in a freezing cold room for over 5 hours!

who would put their kid through that? why? what was the need? to make it look more 'credible'and 'honest'?

- They kept presenting successful case studies and successful 'students'... it's their word. take it for what it's worth. although i have to say it looked absolutely real so it may work for most of them.

- on the first day they asked everyone to call their credit card company at lunch and get their limits raised.(as a test they said, a little exercise...uhm...) - the room was cold, uncomfortable - there was quite a lot of emotional pressure - there was pressure in terms of limited time offer, and limited spaces... - we had very little breaks (which makes the weekend good value for money one could think, and i sort of do too) and a very long day: 9am till 8.30pm!! this surely puts every participant in stress, makes them tired, hungry, not able to think straight.

No wonder why by the end of the day most of them gave in...! anyway, i just wanted to let people know how i felt so they can ensure they make the best informed decision if attending the 3 day weekend and can prepare a bit before, perhaps get informed on the offering outside of tigrent (aka Legacy elite training) thanks for reading, good luck with your plans!

SORRY, ABOVE REVIEW IS MISSING A BIT!

Go and check them out if you want, however keep a cool head and don't jump into the upsell!!

I have split the 997 3-day cost with someone I've met on the free presentation day.

In the end i didn't feel it was such good value, however from the presentation i was under the impression the course would have provided us with technical abc for landlords. I was not expecting all of that 'financial-freedom-coachy-join-our-family' stuff.that bit there for me was too brainwashy, and was really aiming at manipulating people's emotions, no shadow of a doubt.

I will explain to you how the course went.

day 1, of course we had a bit of introduction

loads of talks about how we're slaves and they're financially free and you can get this done easily.

There was some good insights however on techniques and things to look into. 2nd day, we looked at more options and techniques which i've found helpful and will look into. 3rd and final day. most of the people in my group (!!) had moved onto signing up for the further courses, so that day a lot of them spent it finalising.

despite the fact i thought the trainers would have delivered a *** session as their job there was basically done, we actually got given good information about negotiating, finances, taxes and practical info one should look into. I don't regret the training as i am now studying the subject and got loads of pointers onto where to start, which i didn't have a clue of before. However, please if you don't intend leaving the weekend 25k short (yes, this is how much their further training costs!!) remember that - if you're new to this, start first. start somewhere, have a look.

Thank you for sharing. I am from Australia.

My partner and i attended the 3 days course AUD1250 held at Sydney 14th July.... anyway i could not have agreed with you more regarding their superb selling and marketing skills. The way they structured this SCAM!!!!

One seminar led onto another more expensive mentorship programme (the cost of coachings range from 17k to 40k, depends on whether you do it on your own or with a partner at NZ or at UK)

Unfortunately, my partner have already paid for the advanced training package and now i am trying to get him quit and ask for a full refund

Since we paid for the 35k "portal" home learning material i took the time to skim-read them and found most of the course materials you could get from doing your own reserach online, the bottom line is ....yes you certainly learned something from course but it takes alot more efforts and tactics to really make the investment of 35k worth paid for. I strongly DO NOT recommend anyone to even consider go to any of these free seminars out there as they ONLY want to sell you whatever productsat the end, not enough concrete plans /strategies, practical techniques taught.

Hello I recently went to two free two hour seminars and found that they speakers are carrying out a performance & they are very pushy about what they are selling. The individuals seemed hawkish & give the idea that it is a donor die situation. I was not convinced & after reading your reviews I am further unconvinced by even spending the initial 900+ to undertake the three day course.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1355784

I have just completed the 3 day seminar and I couldn't agree more with you. Total sell.

The only things they covered in the 3 day course is this.

Getting the right mindset to be an investor ( not someone working in a job )

Buy cashflow positive properties ( pretty simple monthly expenses including mortgage needs to be lower then the rent you get )

Some strategies to make the property more profitable ( multi lets, Houses of multiple occupancy ) straight forward stuff. Basically the more people you can cram into a house the better cashflow this produces.

Asset protection, buying in a trust - pretty simple stuff

Taxation - again simple stuff if you have a good accountant SAP ( Strategy you will use, Area you will do it in, Property you will do it too ) All very very simple stuff that you can find on the internet for free if you have a few hours to do some google searches and research cashflow positive real estate strategies.

Basically I felt like I paid $1250 to then be sold to again. The one massive fundamental fall in this seminar was this.... They didn't add enough value and technical information to then up sell to the $50K mentor program Too much selling not enough value... Then when they did the sales pitch about the sourcing agents in the UK, they were saying as part of the mentorship program you get access to this sourcing agent website exclusive to legacy education members.

I later went onto that website and saw you can access this for 29 pounds a month I felt sorry for the people signing up and parting way with loads of money for not much value... I say pay $100 a month get the property research tools like Investar and RP Data or NZ / UK equivalent for sourcing. Do the deal analysis yourself make sure the numbers work with plenty of buffer in there for the first few and spend your money buying assets, not some low value education. To add to this I did the I Love Real Estate course for $18K and that gives you so much value with a guarantee on your education investment.

This was very vague and didnt guarantee anything.

Further to this is took photos of the deals they showed us claiming they were their deals, then that night I jumped into RPNZ and looked up those addresses and sales history, numbers all fitter except the deals weren't their at all. So after catching them out a few times that confirmed that I made the right decision not to invest $35 -$65K for further training with Legacy

You get what you paid for

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I attended the Elite Legacy Education 3 Day course and I found the course was worth what I paid for. Both my husband I have been dabbing into REI for over 10 yrs but didn't really progress much further. We have a few Buy and Hold properties that makes some good cash flow and wanted to up our game because our learning curve was stagnant. We did the 3 day course. Actually 2 day for us because we decided not to attend the 3 day. Overall, even though we only did 2 of the 3 days we found that the instructor was very informative and she opened our eyes to many options out there and made us realize that we need to put in more elbow grease if we really want to grow in REI. The wealth of information we got from the course was definitely worth the $500 investment. Although we decided not to purchase a course at this time, doesn't mean we didn't think it is a worthwhile investment. Any investment you make toward Education and growing and developing yourself is a worthwhile investment into yourself. It up to you to implement what you learn. Legacy is just a learning platform. They are you offering you an opportunity to learn using their methods. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether you want to go to their "School of Thought". It's like going to college. You can choose to go the any college you can get into then it's up to you to make the most out of your education. Bottom line, if you want things to change in your life, then be part of finding out the solution. If we got anything out of the class is we need to get our butts in gear and figure out the best "school of thought" for us and fast.

Prices inconsistent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have just completed the elite legacy course in Southampton and it cost £997, someone else paid £500 - inconsistent. The second day was mixed between training and hard sales. The prices for a platinum package for a couple was approx £30,000. Now for a person who is single had to pay nearly £20,000 where did they get those figures from? The trainers there were mainly approachable and relatable but one. This one trainer I found arrogant and came across as a person who has not really experienced hardship. When explaining to him that I wasn’t going to pay for the course his attitude changed and I don’t believe he was listening after I said not going to pay. The other trainers were fantastic but it takes one to ruin the experience. During the three days they made it quite clear that if you don’t progress to the courses then you will fail in property investment. They’re not the only property investment training in the UK. For a £997 I expected lunch to be provided, instead we got a whole lot of hard sales. The workshop was very interesting and I’m happy that I went and I did learn heaps but minus the above stuff it would’ve been better.

High price for a tablet!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I paid for the 3 day event and was expecting to learn more about real estate investing. I have some experience with a few properties that generate a very good cash flow and I am always open to learning more.

I have read most of the Rich Dad books and was looking forward to this event. The host of The event was Trevor, he definitely has a stage presence and aggressive approach to selling the product offered by elite. I am actually surprised that Robert Kiyosaki allowed his name to be used for selling this expensive product. If I had paid for a comedy show I would have been impressed.

I kept thinking I might learn something new about investing. I have excellent credit and don't need to use convenience checks to float money only to pay it back for building credit. If I was new to this game or needed to build credit I might have a different point of view. I explained that I had experience at the Free info session on was sold that I would learn more.

Paying 495.00 to have a someone yell and suggest that" I do and didn't think" was crossing a line but I was still open minded but loosing interest fast.

The deal breaker was when he threw a paper cup full of liquid at the easel ranting about like a angry man I checked out. I can't expect a refund because I signed a agreement but I am very dissatisfied with the total waste of time and money.

lol, I was at this "Scaminar", according to the speaker Trevor Evans, also. I'm praying that the few people in the audience who were eating up Trevor's words of wisdom were paid and planted in the audience in order to convince the rest of the people there that this was actually a legitimate training they were about to go on with Trevor leading the way.

I have to admit, I don't know if I've ever experienced such a clever scam artist. This guy Trevor could challenge Jim Jones for his blind cult followers.

Employee, former

I agree fully with above review , and has left the company with a feeling that all the hot showers I had to take after every event didnt help me from feeling like a *** liar . 95% of each free seminar were filled with broke, Black mostly, ignorant people. We found that these were the foundational money to fund the other classes that need to be promoted . They even have the nerve to have a non compete clause in the employee contracts. This preventing you from working for any other seminar company, buy the way ,there are some out there that really do what they teach and will do it ethically !!! Needless to say, this company has changed names so often as to lessen law suits as well as hide past negative brand from consumers. I hope you all understand, there are good education companies out there !! Just look them up before attending the infamous free first workshop !!! I work for one now, and feel great what I do !!!!

Feeling scammed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to the 2hr free introduction branded with Robert Kiyosakis Rich Dad Poor Dad, my partner and I live in the uk and on my one wage as he is ill after an accident at work! We want a way out of the rat race but ofcourse they saw us coming.

I paid £500 for the 3 day course in Southampton which is over 28 days from the sign up. They spend at least 70% of those days trying to sell you more courses for £12-£42,000!!! They try to convince you that you will not succeed without this education. What they do teach is already available online for free!

I was so sick to my stomach by lunchtime today (day 2 of the course) that I walked out. I told them out loud that this is a scam and I hope no one signed up! I have warned as many people as I can! Feeling very p'd off and sick that I lost/wasted nearly a months rent payment!!!

We have no money and these people are taking advantage of people like us! Please do not fall for this!!!!
